So my son Matthew decided to get into the family business.  Not content with the large laser and the associated programming, he offered to go in on a Glowforge.  I have to admit, it does seem to open up some new possibilities such as two sided laser cutting, the ability to cut thicker material, as well as the finesse to engrave Ipads and Iphones.

Unfortunately, we won’t see it until next September.  They haven’t shipped any yet, so who knows, it may turn out to be a “phantom” product.  Still, it’s nice to see a teenager get excited about working with a machine instead of a video game.
